Canadian Horseshoe Pitching Champions through the years

The first official Canadian championships were held in 1927 (the first singles in 1929). They were held in conjunction with the Royal Winter Fair at the Toronto CNE until 1938. In 1940 and from 1949 though 1969, they were held during the Canadian National Exhibition around Labour Day week-end in Toronto. There is one exception (1960) where Hamilton hosted the tournament.

The first official Canadian women’s championships were held in 1963.
