Hosting the Canadian Horseshoe Pitching Championship

If you wish to host the Canadian championships, or involved in running a tournament, here are some interesting links that will give you the information you need to know. The first official Canadian women’s championships were held in 1963.
The Guidelines were inspired by an excellent document prepared many years ago by Jean Markle. It was updated with the help of many of the provinces. As George Barton mentioned: “Those who have never hosted these championships in the past, will certainly benefit from this document. But the people who have previously hosted the championships will also find something that will appeal to them too. It should make the job of hosting a lot easier.”
They provide more information about the format, how the championships are ran, etc. While many details are informative for the participants and the Horseshoe Canada Executive, eventual hosts will find important information especially in article 21 (about the bid submission).
